I just got word of the passing of Don Dunn.  He lived in Breckenridge, Mi and shuffled in Evart.  He and his wife Purle were both Pro's in Michigan and Florida.  She preceded him in death. I'm sure a lot of Michigan shufflers would know Don and remember his great sense of humor.

Recently he and his wife, Fern, celebrated their 67th anniversary and his 91st birthday. He was born in Bear Lake, Michigan, the only child of Ernest and Gertrude Haney. He is survived by his wife, Fern; daughters, Martha Dillon, Janet Vincent, and Vicki (Bill) Goss; son, Steven (Wendy) Haney; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and special friends Barb and Bob Witte, Sally Balcom, and Tom Harrington of Detroit, his shuffleboard buddy. On Monday, September 10, 2007, the Holland Township Shuffleboard Club adopted a motion to become a sponsor of the New MSA State Tournament Program.  We did this by committing to donate fifty cents ($.50) per participant in our yearly tournament to MSA ear marked specifically for the state tournament prize money.  If we have 44 participants as we have had in the past, this example would generate $22.00 to the state tournament fund.

Will you please put an announcement on the MSA website.  There are several Shuffleboard Clubs that have not sent Ann their dues for this year.  We would like their prompt response.  MSA counts on these dues to operate and our expenses need their help.

Thanks,
John Braniff
